Who is responsible for accidents or injuries involving the dumpster?

Once the dumpster rental is delivered and properly placed on the property, the customer assumes full responsibility for the roll-off dumpster and all materials placed inside it during the rental period.

Dr. Dumpster Service is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, property damage, or liability involving the dumpster while it is in the customer's possession, including but not limited to injuries sustained by homeowners, tenants, guests, contractors, employees, visitors, or other third parties.

The renter is responsible for maintaining a safe area around the dumpster and ensuring proper use throughout the rental period.

Do you offer driveway or yard protection?

Accepted Answer

Yes.

To help protect driveways, concrete surfaces, asphalt, and other placement areas, Dr. Dumpster Service places wooden planks or boards beneath the roll-off dumpster whenever possible. These boards help distribute the weight of the dumpster and may reduce the risk of scratches, cracks, dents, or other surface damage.

However, due to the weight of the dumpster and the materials loaded inside, surface damage can still occur. Dr. Dumpster Service does not guarantee protection against property damage, and the customer assumes full responsibility for any damage to driveways, sidewalks, landscaping, concrete, asphalt, utilities, or other property resulting from dumpster placement, use, loading, or removal.

How are rental fees billed?

Accepted Answer

The base dumpster rental price covers only the agreed-upon rental period and included services outlined in the rental agreement.

Additional charges may apply and will be billed separately based on actual usage, disposal costs, and services requested during the rental period, including but not limited to:
• Waste weight (based on certified landfill scale weights and disposal fees)
• Overweight charges (based on certified landfill scale tickets)
• Additional rental days beyond the agreed rental period
• Dump-and-return services
• Additional hauls or dumpster swaps
• Relocation requests or special service requests

All weight-based charges are determined by the receiving landfill's certified scale. Any applicable additional charges will be calculated after the roll-off dumpster is picked up, emptied, and processed.

The customer agrees to pay all additional disposal fees, hauling fees, transportation costs, overweight charges, and extended rental fees incurred beyond the original dumpster rental agreement.

Can the dumpster be placed on the street, road, or alleyway?

Accepted Answer

No.

Roll-off dumpsters may not be placed on public roads, streets, alleys, or public rights-of-way. All dumpster rentals must be placed on private property, such as a driveway, parking area, or yard, with adequate clearance and access for safe dumpster delivery and pickup.

What space is required for dumpster placement?

Accepted Answer

The customer must provide adequate, unobstructed space for dumpster delivery and pickup.

This includes sufficient width, height clearance, and turning room for the roll-off dumpster truck. 
Overhead obstacles such as power lines, tree branches, roofs, awnings, or other structures must be cleared prior to delivery to ensure safe placement and removal of the dumpster.

When is payment due?

Accepted Answer

A deposit or approved payment arrangement is required before or at the time of dumpster delivery.

No roll-off dumpster will be delivered until payment terms have been established and accepted. Failure to provide payment or make approved arrangements may result in delayed delivery or cancellation of the dumpster rental.

Question 7

When must invoices be paid?

Accepted Answer

All dumpster rental invoices are due within 30 days of the invoice date. Any unpaid balance remaining after 30 days may be subject to a 15% interest charge.

Continued nonpayment may result in collection efforts, legal action, and additional fees.

The customer agrees to be responsible for all costs associated with collecting past-due balances, including collection fees, court costs, attorney fees, and other expenses related to the recovery of unpaid dumpster rental charges.

Are refunds given if the dumpster is picked up early?

Accepted Answer

No.

Dumpster rental fees are based on the agreed-upon rental period and are not prorated for early pickup, unused rental days, or early completion of a project unless otherwise stated in writing.

Customers who request early dumpster removal remain responsible for the full rental amount outlined in the original dumpster rental agreement.

Are you responsible for damage to my yard, driveway or property?

Accepted Answer

No.

While reasonable care is taken during dumpster delivery, placement, and pickup, Dr. Dumpster Service is not responsible for damage to driveways, yards, sidewalks, concrete, asphalt, landscaping, irrigation systems, underground utilities, septic systems, or other surrounding property.

Customers are responsible for ensuring the delivery location is suitable for the weight and placement of a roll-off dumpster.

Question 11

Are you responsible for damage to personal property near the dumpster?

Accepted Answer

No.

The customer is responsible for clearing the dumpster placement area of all vehicles, trailers, equipment, materials, and personal property prior to dumpster delivery and pickup.

Dr. Dumpster Service is not responsible for damage to any items left in or near the delivery area, access route, or dumpster location.

Question 12

Can legal action be taken against Dr. Dumpster for damages?

Accepted Answer

By renting a dumpster, the customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dr. Dumpster Service from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, injuries, expenses, or legal actions arising from the delivery, placement, use, loading, unloading, or presence of the roll-off dumpster during the rental period.

This includes claims involving the customer, contractors, guests, employees, tenants, visitors, or other third parties.
